Simple little project I painted this morning while waiting for the anesthesia
to wear off my face from the "fun" root canal procedure I had this morning.
Bottom half of the rock is covered in wool felt that I glued on.
I painted the egg with my trusty Daler Rowney FW acrylic inks.
So very pretty - love the color! :-)
You know how to make even the most horrible thing delightful! Well...almost delightful, I'm sure :)
omg!! what an amazing effect i thought it is a real egg!! :D
I too thought it was a real egg! Amazing! You are always coming up with something so unique...I come by every day!
i saw that stone on your mantel and wondered what magic you had in store for it
xo
such an illusion at first glance
from the first photo it looked like the egg was sitting on the stone and it's painted so beautifully
That is so beautiful! I hope you're feeling better. Root canals are NO fun. Thank you for always sharing such beautiful creations!
Beautiful! Too bad about your dental visit - hope all is well now. Saw the post about your son and the scorpion sting - hope that he is all recovered - and you too!
love that it's in its own nest
I will think to you, tomorrow I have root canal.
Lucky it is done for you.
I love those beautiful colors. Actually I would like to find differents eggs . Quails, ostriches, and emu . I have a couple but with time the color is not acid free so the are so dark...
Nature give so beautiful things.
Thanks for sharing
Francine
Whoa!! I really thought that was a real egg!!
I can see a dinosaur in there and a little face! :D
You have the most fantastic ideas! I really want to try this, it is so simple but so beautiful! :D
I also thought it was real! Anyway, everything you do is done so prettily. Feel better soon. :)
So pretty in its little nest. I hope you're feeling better!
I love your blog it puts a smile on my face every day! Wish I was as inspired as you.
Just had to pass this on - the butterfly in your last photo looks so like the one Rob Ives created - I thought you'd like to see - http://www.robives.com/blog/butterfly
